Fertility and ICSI

Desire to have children and ICSI
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is used when the male sperm quality is very limited, as it is then extremely difficult for the sperm to fertilize the egg independently.
During ICSI fertilization, the man's most agile sperm are selected in a fertility center. The so-called spermatozoa are injected through a very thin needle via a direct puncture into the woman's previously retrieved egg. As a rule, up to 90% fertilization of the egg cell can be achieved. The patient undergoes hormonal stimulation beforehand. This is the same as in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
We work together with specialist fertility centers in Munich and are in constant consultation before and during the pregnancy. From the first heartbeat, we take over the treatment again and things continue "normally".
